Triumph, a British motorcycle company, recently launched the all new two sub-500cc motorcycles, i.e Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 in collaboration with Bajaj Auto, an Indian manufacturer, which is creating a lot of buzz in the current Indian 2 wheeler market. Triumph said that it received over 17,000 bookings for its new 400cc bikes, which are the most affordable motorcycles in its line-up.
Yesterday, the company announced that its new Speed 400’s first batch of bikes will be leaving from the Bajaj Auto Chakan plant in Pune. And shortly, will be available for test drives, and displays of vehicles will be accessible in all exclusive Triumph showrooms all over India. Delivery of the Speed 400 bikes to its customers can be expected next month, i.e. August. The Speed 400, most affordable triumph motorcycle has an ex-showroom cost of Rs 2.33 lakh in the Indian market.

Speed 400 sports a brand-new 398 CC, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder TR-series engine. The engine has the ability to produce a maximum of 37.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm and 39.5 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm. It will have a slip-and-assist clutch and a 6-speed gearbox. The expected mileage is around 28-30 kmpl. The Triumph’s quality, fit & finish will be applied to its 400-cc bikes as well. It also has premium features like a retro-designed LED headlight, 43mm upside-down golden forks, traction control, dual-channel ABS, digital and analogue instrument cluster. All in all, it is a premium bike.
The Triumph Scrambler 400X is said to debut in October of this year in India. Notably, online bookings are now being accepted for both motorcycles.
