Ola Electric has launched its cheapest electric scooter Ola S1 X in India.
The new Ola S1 X will be offered in three variants and the most affordable one with 2kWh battery is priced at Rs 89,999. The mid-variant with a larger 3kWh battery costs Rs 99,999 and the top variant S1 X + which comes at a price tag of Rs 1.09 Lakh.
The S1 X is powered by a 2.98 kW electric motor that generates 8.5 Nm of torque and has a top speed of 90 kmph. It has a approx range of up to 151 km on a single charge. The scooter comes with a host of features including alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, digital speedometer, trip meter, remote start and more.

The Ola S1 X is available in three colours – black, blue and white. It is also gets a USB port for charging mobile phones. The Ola S1 X comes with a warranty of 3 years/40,000 km (whichever is earlier), and the battery comes with a warranty of 3 years/unlimited km. You can also choose for an extended warranty on your scooter and battery for up to 2 years.
Ola Electric has launched the second generation of its Electric Scooter Ola S1 Pro.
The new Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 is based on the company’s Gen 2 platform and claims higher performance and range. The updated motor now produces a lower continuous power output of 5kW (vs 5.5kW on the Gen 1 model), but a higher peak power of 11kW (vs 8.5kW). Ola claims top speed is now 120 kmph (vs 115 kmph) and that the acceleration times are now slightly quicker as well. The battery pack remains 4 kWh, but Ola says that improved software has helped increase range. The company now claims a 180 km range in Eco mode (vs 170 km) and 143 km in Normal mode (vs 135 km).
The Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 retains its brisk acceleration and Ola claims a 0 to 40 kmph timing of 2.6 seconds. The scooter still ships with a 750 watt portable charger and Ola claims the same 6.5 hours charge time from zero to full. The redesigned motor now produces a lower continuous power output of 5kW (vs 5.5kW on the Gen 1 model), but a higher peak power of 11kW (vs 8.5kW).

Here are some of the differences between the two generations of the scooter:
– The Gen 2 has a higher top speed of 120 km/h, compared to the Gen 1’s 115 km/h.
– The Gen 2 has a longer certified range of 195 km, compared to the Gen 1’s 181 km.
– The Gen 2 has a new drive mode called Hyper, which offers the best performance and acceleration. The Gen 1 only had Eco, Normal, and Sports modes.
– The Gen 2 has a larger touchscreen display of 7″, compared to the previous Gen 1’s 5.5″.
– The Gen 2 has a more bigger processor of 2.2 GHz 8-core, than the previous Gen 1’s 1.8 GHz quad-core.
– The Gen 2 has a higher RAM of 3 GB, compared to the previous Gen 1’s 2 GB.
– The Gen 2 has a new feature called Party Mode, which allows you to play music and control the lights of your scooter with your voice.
Apart from the Ola S1 X and the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2, the company also launched the Ola S1 Air.
